The swim test begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

An additional swim test will be conducted at:
Lake Mission Viejo (water temperature approx. 61º F.).
on Saturday, March 17, at 8:00 a.m.

Interviews will follow the swim test

Testing Consists of:
500 meter swim in 10 minutes or less
Applicants who complete the swim within the allotted time will be invited to participate in an oral interview held later that day.

Applicants who qualify will be invited to participate in a mandatory (USLA) 94-hour lifeguard training program. There will be a meeting scheduled on Thursday evening March 29 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. to discuss the training program for all those who have qualified, pizza and soft drinks will be served.

The training will take place on the following weekend dates:
March 31 and April 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29

Time:
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Trainees will be paid $8.00 per hour during training. Those trainees who successfully complete the training will be placed on the LMV hiring list according to their finishing place.
Starting pay is $10.35 per hour if hired.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by June 21, 2012, and must be in good health. Eyesight must be correctable to 20/40. Employment is conditional based on successful passing of a medical exam, drug test and background check (18 years and older) before starting to work.
A swim Release Form with a parent’s signature will be required from all applicants’ 17-years old or under before participation in the swim test.
